Steam Deck docks, cases, and microSD cards are going cheap
The Steam Deck is on sale at the moment, so it’s fortuitous that the there are some good Amazon Prime Day deals on Steam Deck accessories going as well. In fact, Valve’s sale on its handheld gaming PC ends on July 13th – just one day after Prime Day, which runs across July 11th and 12th. It’s like fate, if fate didn’t have anything better to do than ordain savings on PC gaming hardware.
Prime Day’s early deals stage already saw money falling off some of the best Steam Deck accessories and best microSD cards for the Steam Deck, so read on to see what the main event has in store. Unlike early deals, mind, on-the-day Prime Day deals will now require an Amazon Prime membership, at least for access to the lowest possible price. Best Prime Day Steam Deck docking station deals
Hooking up a docking station or USB-C hub is essential if you’re going to be putting your Steam Deck to work as a desktop PC. And they’re mighty useful even if you don’t: navigating the Deck’s Desktop Mode is how you unlock all its best side-features, including the ability to run games from non-Steam launchers like Battle.net. To an extent, you can handle this with the trackpads and onscreen keyboard, but really you’re best off connecting a regular ol’ mouse and keyboard. Ergo, docks.

Best Prime Day Steam Deck case deals
Since Valve ship every new Steam Deck with a carry case, you should already be sorted for simple in-transit defence against knocks and scratches. A case upgrade can still be worthwhile, though, particularly when it provides extra carrying capacity for other Steam Deck accessories, or adds certain functionalities. Some cases even have built-in or detachable stands, making it easier to watch videos on your Deck (or employ it for some split-screen multiplayer funtimes with external controllers).

Best Prime Day Steam Deck microSD card deals
It’s all too easy to stuff the 64GB and 256GB Steam Decks to bursting, and even the top 512GB model will run low on SSD space after a few big game installs. Whereas storage shortages on a desktop PC are best addressed by installing a new SSD, that’s a bit of a pain to do on the Deck, and my testing suggests that a good microSD card can perform very nearly as quickly as that top-spec 512GB drive. Save yourself some bother and simply slide in one of these.
